Manchester City officially announced last Friday that they are out of the race to sign Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, but Barcelona have other plans.
Barcelona are trying to sell Eto'o firstly because his contract expires next year and they will not benefit from it because he will leave for free, and secondly because City are the only club that offered a high fee (28m euros) ,and Eto's wage demands (20,000 pounds without taxes).
